In March 2022, Cristian and Karen De León opened a tiny kitchen inside a BP station off I-35E in Eagan. People drove across the Twin Cities to find them. They still do.

Nights at the Gas Station

A five-course pop-up dinner with nonalcoholic drink pairings, served between the beef jerky and Tylenol shelves of a BP filling station in Eagan. Chef Cristian De Leon shares the story behind every plate, from buttermilk-fried quail to sweet tamale cake with cotton candy and rum raisin ice cream. Strangers become friends, tanks and hearts leave full.
